Mahindra working on New Patrol Engine !!

The SUV major, Mahindra is working on developing new petrol engine in partnership with SsangYong. The company is working on these project with intension of developing more competent product in near future that would be to too difficult to deal with increasing number of players in the industry.


The new engine will be ranging from 1.2. to 1.6-litre in displacement, while most of the engines will be four cylinder. Out of these new range 1.2 litre three cylinder engine will be used in two new upcoming brands codenamed as S101 and S102 from Mahindra

The same engine will be used in upcoming SsangYong X100 SUV. Mr. Yooll Lee, SsangYong president and CEO said “We are going to launch a new car called X100 which will have a majority of gasoline engines. We are sourcing it with Mahindra; this new four-cylinder engine will be converted to a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder for the S102 by Mahindra.”
