Hero MotoCorp plans 6th Plant, searching for a site in South India

India’s largest two wheeler manufacturer Hero Motocorp is planning to set up one more plant in South India in order to meet domestic demand easily. This would be company’s 6th manufacturing plant making total capacity of producing about 12 million units per annum.


The company currently have major manufacturing plants at Dharuhera and Gurgaon in Haryana, Haridwar in Uttarkhand. PavanMunjal, MD & CEO of Hero MotoCorp said “We are looking to set up a plant in South India. It will be utilized to service the market there. We are scouting for land at the moment.

However, company did not share other information about the plan and time line of the project.But capacity of the plant would be about 1.5 to 2 million bikes per annum.

Ford to Launch the 2014 Fiesta in June

After the very well response to the Ecosport, Ford wants continue its market up gradation with the launch of new 2014 Ford Fiesta.


The company is looking forward to launch this car in to ongoing month. The car will be available only in 1.5 TDCi engine initially, that is capable of producing 91 PS of Power and 204 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a five speed manual transmission and clams to deliver 25.01 kmpl.

The car gets new Aston Martin Grille that carries oodles of chrome and a spoiler lip. Interior changes include new meter with light blue illumination, new Ford Sync system with updated and new apps, a driver air bag, ABS with EBS standard on the new Fiesta with passenger airbags available on two trims other than the base model.

News of 2015 Ford Figo Sedan Revealed !!


Ford reveals tease images of New Ford Figo Sedan, the company named it Ka+ in Brasizil, while India, it will be known as Ford Figo Sedan. The car is expected to be launched in next year. The little difference will be drawn between Ka+ and Ford Figo sedan and that will give Ford Figo Sedan a sub-four meter car status to benefit the customers from excise duty.

The concept car was showcased at Auto Expo 2014, Delhi. In production version of the car headlamps, tail lamps will be similar to the concept model. The car looks promising in the teaser images revealed. New grille and a bit sporty design adds to car look.

Other information are yet not revealed, the car can be expected to have number of instrument, and might include the company’s SYNC technology.

News of Renault Scala Travelogue Edition launched at Rs. 8.79 Lac in India

 

Renault, a French multinational vehicle manufacturer owned Renault India Scala Travelogue edition of the car for Rs. 8.79 Lac.(Ex-Showroom, Mumbai). The company currently have five models in its Indian portfolio that include Fluence, Koleos, Pulse, Duster and Scala. The company last week launched new edition of Scala, named as a Scala Travelogue. Tata Motors wants Customer against Fraudulent Activities under its Name

Tata Motors, longed a police complaint against the fraudulent activities are happening under its name, and fraudsters are also using Tata Motors logo to strap people in to their offer. The company said that some fraudsters are using company’s name for gathering deposits from the general public which are fake and not sponsored or promoted by the Tata Motors.

Tata clarifies that these communications are purely made with the intent to defraud the general public and that the company has not authorized any person to require any payment /cash deposit to be made.
Some common technique used by these fraudsters is to ask prospective buyers to make certain payments in exchange with the prizes or a lucky draw. There were also advertisement release that was ask viewer to identify film stars and deposit money for its registration.
Earlier few months Tata Motor was also strapped in to fraudulent HR recruitment advertisement and deposit money interview registration.
The company has advise general public not to exchange money for such fraudulent schemes which is not authorized by the company.

BMW 7 Series High Security is coming to India


BMW’s 7- Series High Security is entering in to India soon. 7 Series latest version will make its entry in to India, and will face direct competition from Mercedes M-Guard and Audi A8 Security. The car is perfect combination of luxury and safety.



It is built out of the material tested in laboratories, which are bullet resistant and construction (VPAM) in Germany. The car has 7 Series High Security with VR7 Ballistic Protection for the entire car and VR7 for non-transparent areas according to 2009 guidelines. The car includes on board firefighting system, an emergency exit system, and emergency fresh air system. It can face bullet from AK – 47, it provides protection against engine fire, fire under the vehicle and tear gas.
 
Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW India said, “The BMW 760Li High Security provides optimum safety in the individual mobility segment in combination with unparalleled comfort of travel, superior drive technology and an abundance of innovative equipment features to guarantee confident motoring at all times.”


The 7 series, 760Li has a 6.0-litre V12 petrol engine, which is capable of producing 552 PS of power and 750 Nm of maximum torque. India, will initially have High Security Long Wheel Base version and this would be first Security car from BMW in Indian market.

Tata Motors has shut its plant at Sanand, Gujarat where it produces its small car Nano. The plant is shut because of low demand and resulting in to higher inventory on hand. The plant is expected to be closed for next 35 to 40 days.                                                                            Next, the company will start manufacturing new version of Nano, considering upcoming festival season. The plant will be made able to produce hatchback and compact sedans in time to come. One such model Kite, may enter market in 2015, to directly compete with MarutiCelerio. 

 The company was operating the plant on 2-3 working days a week over last 6 months on account of low demand. “The company has had to take some tough measures. This includes keeping the plant shut instead of pushing inventory and incurring further loss. The company has been producing 2000 to 2400 cars every month for the last 6 months, but a zero schedule for June was a surprise.”

 While company spoke person said that “As with all our plants, the Sanand facility is closed as per annual planning for routine upgrades, maintenance and adding of tooling flexibility for new variants. The period for this kind of maintenance work may vary and range from 3-6 weeks.”

 “A CNG version of Nano or the Nano with power steering did infuse some interest in the brand, with monthly retail sales improving from 1000-1500 to the current level of 2,000 to 2,500 units.” Company said. It adds "We have seen a good pick up of the new Nano Twist and we are beginning to see stronger retail sales with its repositioning as the smart city car".
