Hyundai India Recalls 2,437 units of Santa Fe SUV


Hyundai Motor India, a second largest automobile manufacturer by volume in Indian Market. The company has been doing well with its recent launches Grand i10 and Compect Sedan Xcent. But on 25th May, company recalled 2,437 units of its Santa Fe SUV.


The recall has been made considering a faulty stop lamp switch. Company said statement that “Hyundai Motor India will voluntarily recall 2,437 number of Santa Fe vehicles of the 2011 model year in India for the manufacturing period June 26, 2011, to September 26, 2013.”


The company has taken this step to avoid potential difficulties because of non-working stop lamp which. The car will replace a switch considering potential malfunctioning. Affected Santa Fe owners will be notified in a phase manner, and they will be ask to take their car to nearby authorized dealer for the service.

Talking about some previous recalls Honda has recalled 31,226 units of Amaze and Brio, Maruti Suzuki recalled 1,03,311 units of Ertiga, Swift and Dzire, while Toyota recalled 44,989 units of MPV Innova.
