Fiat Group Automobiles India, a subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, will launch four new cat in Indian market. The company needs more presence in the Indian market, with its more number of offerings which may attract car buyers to choose a Fiat car.
While announcing the strategy Mr. NageshBasavanhalli, President & MD, Fiat India, said that “Fiat has an exciting line up of products for this year. We have already launched our brand New Linea and will soon be coming out with New Punto. Avventura, a contemporary utility vehicle (CUV) will be making its global debut in India. We are also launching the Abarth brand with Abarth 500.”
While adding further, he said “We are very bullish with our plans this year”. He has positive expectation from the second half of this year, and said decline in auto sales up March this year was due to low consumer sentiment.
The Fiat market share during year 2013 was below 1%, the car maker has opened 108 dealership across the country in just 11 month and hopes to touch 150 dealership by the end of this year.
