Honda sells 88000 units of Amaze in a year

Honda Motors India, a subsidiary of Honda Motors had very good previous year. The company had positive sales number leading to its success of foray into diesel car segment. The company launched its first diesel car in India, Honda Amaze a compact sedan based on its small hatchback Brio.

 

A Company’s strategy of entering into diesel engine segment work for its both launches, Amaze and later Face lifted Honda City. The company sold 88000 units of its compact sedan Amaze, this can be considered as a huge success in sluggish economic time.

The Amaze provided stiff competition to all its competitors which include Maruti Swift Dzire, Hyundai Xcent. Sharing his excitement, Mr. JnaneswarSen VP Market and Sales, Honda Cars India said “Living up its positioning in the market, Honda Amaze has certainly changed many lives with one car. At another point of time, Honda is planning increasing its distribution network for the success of its upcoming launches Mobilio and new Jazz. Honda currently has network of 172 showrooms in 109 cities.
