General motor, selling its car under the brand name of Chevrolet is planning to export its Beat Brand from Indian production unit. The move came after many players has already started implementing this exercise. The company is will start production of left hand drive cars at Talegaon plant in coming months.
The company has expected to send Beat to Chile from the beginning of the year 2015. Speaking on the news Mr. Arvind Saxena, President and MD, GM India said that “The start of Beat exports underlines GM’s commitment to India and demonstrates the quality of the country’s growing supplier base,” and “The exports will create more employment opportunities within GM India and the supplier community while helping improve capacity utilization at the Talegaon Plant.”
As per the company statement Beat is the top selling car in Indian market from the company’s portfolio.
