Tata Motors launched the all new Movus, Priced at Rs. 6.99 Lac.

The starting price of new Movus is at Rs. 6.99 Lacs (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The car will be avail with 3 year or 1,50,000kms engine warranty. The car will be available in two variants CX and LX.

Tata Motors, India’s largest car manufacturer by revenue launched the all new Movus Utility Vehicle. The launch is surprised as in comparison of highly marketed launch of Zest and Bolt.

At the launch event, Mr. RanjitYadav President, Passenger Vehicle Unit said, “The all-new Movus is a great proposition for large families as it is spacious, easy to maintain, economical for both short and long distances, delivering great value without compromising on comfort.”

The car is loaded with 2.2 L Varicor Engine, which enables the car to produce power of 120 PS and torque of 250 Nm. The company claims the car having highest mileage in the segment at 15.16 kmpl. The car has 65 litres of fuel tank for longer drives and has high loan carrying capacity.

Maruti Suzuki India’s largest car maker by volume thinks ahead to replaceSx4 by all the new Alivio. The company has stoped production of Sx4 and dealers are selling Sx4 from the last batch of production. The company unveiled Alivio for the first time at 2014 Beijing Auto Show.

The company’s decision regarding replacing Sx4 from the portfolio and add new Aliviomight prove to be right because the segment has been well captured by its competitors like Vento, Rapid, Scala and Sunny. So company need some significant step to prove its presence in the segment.

Nissan set up New Parts Distribution Centre at Chennai

Nissan India is setting up new after sales parts distribution centre at Chennai that will enhance companies services to its customer. The initiative is part of customer after sales parts services. This facility will be biggest additional PDC facility in India, which will the established by the Chennai.

The facility area will be spread across the 4.8 Lac sq. feet and capable of outbound volume of 2800 lines per day compare to previous facility of 700 lines. The facility will enhance parts distribution activity across the India. The facility will need some 300 people to carry out operation successfully.

Our new after-sales parts distribution centre reaffirms our commitment to our customers in India. Efficient supply of spare parts across our existing service network is imperative to complement our plan to increase our sales touchpoints.”

He further explained, “Our plan is to have a hub-and-spoke parts distribution model. We will set up additional spare parts distribution centres in other locations in India in coming months, while Chennai will be the distribution hub.”

Hyundai Motor Indiayesterday launched new version of its entry level car Eon. The new version is loaded with 1.0 litre Kappa engine before current 0.8 litre variant. Both the engine option will continue selling in the market.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. B S Seo, MD & Director HMIL said “Hyundai consistently innovates to meet and exceed the demands of the customer and the 1.0 litre Kappa engine now offered in Eon is an extension of our modern-premium brand philosophy.”

He is confident of further benefit of this model to Hyundai’s current car portfolio. Going ahead , there is another Euro-5 ready 1 litre Kappa petrol engine, which will be available in Magna+ variant of Eon, that will deliever high performance and more fuel efficiency.

The all-aluminum 1 litre Kappa engine promises weight reduction with adoption of aluminum head and block that help achieve improved fuel economy, Mr. B S Seo added.
